Tone Poem for Wind Band
This marvellous work by the Singaporean composer Benjamin Yeo outlines a number of beautiful impressions of the magnificent fauna and flora of Gondwana (or Gondwanaland). Some unusual sounds of nature announce a dazzling allegro with lots of percussion and swift time changes. A lovely romantic melody reflects the silence of nature. At the end of the work, the initial theme reappears, this time in a grand, monumental instrumentation.
